Open studio time provides an unstructured environment for artists who desire additional time to pursue their craft. Many open studio participants have found this a valuable tool, and find it enhances the value of their membership and class participation. The studio classroom is one of ASA's most valuable assets. The classroom is set up for painting, with or without a teacher. Some easels are available for those requiring one during open studio time. All participants are welcome, member and non-member. There is no age restriction, however young children must be supervised and must not be disruptive to other participants. There is no restriction of media or subject matter. All toxic substances are strictly prohibited. Critique and thoughtful suggestions are welcome and available to all participants.
